Why Built-in FTP Matters

When an API anomaly or error spike occurs, developers often need to inspect server configuration files, examine remote log archives, or hotfix script files. Juggling standalone desktop clients like FileZilla or Cyberduck adds unnecessary friction.

LogNexis FTP / SFTP Studio embeds a complete multi-server transfer environment into your browser with live protocol consoles, keyboard-driven multi-selection, and intelligent conflict detection.

Dual-Pane Architecture

The studio offers two viewing configurations: Dual View (Local machine files on the left, Remote server directory on the right) and Server Only (full-width server explorer).

Bi-Directional Drag & Drop

Drag single files, selected groups, or entire folders between local and remote panes with natural visual feedback.

Desktop Multi-Selection

Use standard desktop shortcuts: Ctrl+Click to pick individual items, Shift+Click for ranges, or Ctrl+A to select all.

Direct Disk Writing (No Browser Popups)

Unlike conventional web downloads that trigger repetitive browser "Save As" prompts for every single file, LogNexis harnesses the modern File System Access API.

Once you grant folder access on your local computer, transferred files and recursive directory trees write directly to your hard drive silently in the background, just like a native desktop application.

FileZilla-Grade Conflict Management

When uploading or downloading a file that already exists at the destination, LogNexis presents an intelligent resolution dialog with comprehensive options:

  • Overwrite existing file immediately
  • Overwrite only if source file is newer than target
  • Overwrite only if file sizes differ
  • Auto-rename with sequential suffixes (e.g., config (1).php, config (2).php)
  • Skip transfer or apply rule to all remaining items in the queue

In-Place Editor & Permissions

Double-click any code or text file on the remote server to launch the integrated File Editor Modal. Edit scripts with syntax support and save changes directly back to the server without downloading.

Quickly view and modify UNIX file permissions via the visual CHMOD Modal, supporting both symbolic checkboxes (Read, Write, Execute) and numeric octal notation (e.g. 755, 644).

Security & SSRF Protection

To protect internal infrastructure from Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF), all remote connection requests are validated by a rigorous backend security guard that blocks loopback addresses, local link ranges, and private cloud metadata IP spaces.

Credentials stored in the Site Manager are encrypted at rest, and active sessions utilize temporary server-side pools with automatic timeout cleanup.
